What is ABA?

Applied Behavior Analysis is a highly structured one-to-one behavior modification program, where repetition, reinforcement and rewards are used to teach.  Tasks are broken down into component steps.  Data are collected daily and graphed so that the progress of the child is measurable.

What is the Success Rate of ABA?

The success of this method of teaching has been documented for 30 years.  It was originally developed in 1973 by Dr. Ivar Lovaas at UCLA.  His research reported that 47% of the children taught using this methodology could function indistinguishably from their peers.
